Main hint

After your gear reaches the server equipment level, you lose the extra material bonus from salvaging (2x materials).

If you want to max all equipment faster, consider stopping your upgrades while your gear is still below the server equipment level. Then continue upgrading after you have collected enough materials to bring all legendary items to rank 30.

Until then, your character may be slightly below its maximum possible performance, but the difference is usually not very noticeable. In return, the full upgrade process can be much faster.

A typical server equipment level is around rank 26.

Which materials at which ranks?

Higher-tier materials only come into play once you push past certain breakpoints.

Legendary Gear — ranks 1–30
Ranks 1–20Scrap, Enchanted Dust, Glowing Shard
Ranks 21–30Reinforced Scrap, Beguiling Dust, Flowing Shard
Set Gear — ranks 1–25
Ranks 1–10Scrap Materials, Enigmatic Crystal
Ranks 11–25Reinforced Scrap, Cryptic Crystal

Materials breakdown

You get upgrade materials by salvaging items. Legendary items can be salvaged at the Essence Transfer NPC, while other items can be salvaged at the Blacksmith.

After your equipment reaches certain ranks, you start receiving higher-tier materials.

Higher-tier materials can be used to upgrade lower-rank equipment at a 1:1 ratio. For example, 1,000 Reinforced Scrap can be used as 1,000 Scrap Materials.

Lower-tier materials can also be converted toward higher-rank upgrades, but at a reduced 20:1 ratio. For example, 1,000 Scrap Materials can be used as 50 Reinforced Scrap.

How to use this calculator

This tool helps Diablo Immortal players calculate the materials needed to upgrade their Legendary and Set gear.

Set the current rank and target rank for each gear slot. The calculator will show the remaining cost for each slot, plus a combined total across all selected slots.

By default, only active slots are shown. To keep all individual slot costs visible, change Active only to All visible in the section header.

Completion ETA

Additional Completion Helpers are planned and may appear in a future version. Legendary gear may receive an ETA helper based on remaining materials and income presets, while set items may receive completion info for the Challenge Rift level needed to unlock enough set upgrade resources.
